WHY USE ECO3SPA RATHER THAN CHLORINE?

Chlorine commonly causes skin irritation, primarily due to halogen amines generated as a bi-product of the chlorine reaction with bacteria.	The Active Oxygen sanitiser in eco3spa does not produce halogen amines and there is no evidence that Active Oxygen causing skin irritation. In fact we can guarantee that over 99% of eco3spa users will not experience any skin irritation whilst using the product.
Chlorine has an unpleasant smell caused in part by the chlorine reaction with bacteria.	Whilst the sanitiser product in it's raw, concentrated form in the tub will have a 'chemically' smell, the only smell from a hot or cold tub sanitised with eco3spa will be an occasionally fresh, clean 'Ozone-like' smell.
Chlorine is only effective over a very narrow pH range and the reaction of chlorine with bacteria and sunshine causes pH changes, resulting in a need for constant testing and water balancing.	The effectiveness of our eco3spa sanitiser is unchanged by normal tap water pH values and has been shown by independent research to be effective over the range pH 5.2 - pH 8.5. In fact, scientific research in the academic literature indicates the efficacy of Active Oxygen as a biocide over a much wider pH range than this. This means that pH testing and water balancing is not required when you use eco3spa.
Chlorine tablets (trichlor tablets) are highly acidic resulting in corrosion and damage to plastic tub parts, cushions, covers and other equipment.	eco3spa sanitiser tablets are pH neutral.
Chlorine in hot or cold tub water bleaches swimwear, pillows, cushions, covers, other surfaces and tub parts.	Our eco3spa sanitiser does not bleach when used at the concentration advised.
Chlorine reacts with bacteria to produce trihalomethanes which scientific studies have shown to be carcinogenic.	There is no carcinogenic effect known to be related to Active Oxygen or any of the components of eco3spa.
When Chlorine gets into soil and water-courses it can be fatal to plant and animal species.	All components of eco3spa are non-toxic in the concentrations recommended. Water treated with eco3spa is safe to discard onto your garden.
